Terminology

What our words mean, because language matters. Please, adjust this as desired... this is just a starting point.

Ultimately, I suppose this will be subsumed by the data definition document.

Database A store of information, in the form of one or more "fragments" of content

Fragment Any entry in the Database (relationship, statement, attribute, identity, etc)

Document A related set of fragments that state some information

Comment An informative fragment that is associated with another fragment

Identity A fragment that represents a person or organization

Relationship A fragment that ties two other fragments together, along some named dimension
